Your progress photos and the numbers in your weigh-in log are stored only on your phone and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. Kaizen has no accounts and no feed. The one thing that leaves your device is anonymous usage analytics that help us improve the app — never your photos or health data.

This exchange happens directly between the app and Apple Health on your device. Health data is never transmitted to us, and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app or Settings.
The camera is used to capture your daily frame; the photo library permission lets you choose an existing photo instead. Images are stored on your device only. Kaizen does not upload them.
If you allow notifications, Kaizen sends a single daily reminder to take your frame. Nothing about your progress is included in the notification. You can turn reminders off in the app or in Settings.
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, Kaizen collects privacy-respecting product analytics through PostHog, processed on EU-based servers. This is the only data that leaves your device. It includes:
We do not send your progress photos or the actual numbers in your weigh-in log to analytics. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Because your photos and logs live on your device, deleting the app removes them. To erase the anonymous analytics associated with your device, email privacy@getkaizen.xyz and we'll delete it.
Kaizen is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
